Rudy's Highlights of 2008* - JAPAN - MAY 2008

Wow mates, who would have thought that a short 4 day trip to Japan would turn out to be one of the best vacations I have ever taken in my life. You guys all know that I was a huge Japanophile already but this trip only solidified and strengthened that affection and kinship. Okay so seeing Morning Musume in concert, twice may I add, contributed greatly to that. Man, what an amazing concert it was. Chanting, dancing, clapping, yelling, screaming with all my wota brethren was so surreal. Ive seen the concert I was at on DVD and I'm still trying to convince myself that I was actually there for the event. So much more to Japan that just Jpop though, had the chance to hit such places such as Harajuku (2nd photo), Shinjuku, Shibuya, walked past Kabuki-Cho but didn't dare enter and of course Akihabara. What a thrill it was walking those very same streets that Train Man did and of course hitting the @home maid cafe to spend some time with cute Japanese gals. I demand they open one here in Salt Lake! Can't forget to mention the copious amounts of eye candy I saw over there while hitting the streets of Tokyo. Japanese women are truly some of the most attractive women on the planet and whoever told me that Japanese women have no curves are dead wrong! Believe me I ogled quite a few from behind haha.

One of the most pleasant things about Japan was that when I was there, It almost felt like I was home. Sure I got some double and triple takes by folk who here wondering who this hentai gaijin was (buying gravure photo books didn't help my case) but that didn't take away from the peaceful feeling I had when I was there. Even when my feet felt like they were going to spontaneously combust after being on them for up to 12 hours straight. I tell you mates, now that theres going to be a direct flight from SLC to Tokyo this coming June, mebbe we should look into doing a Who's Watson trip down to Tokyo sometime soon. What say you fellas? (hopefully it coincides with a Hello Project concert).

Anyways mates, Japan rocks the casbah like a hurricane, it whips the llamas ass with a rubber hose, and in the words of Dell Schanze "Totally Awesome". As soon as I finish typing this I am going to stand in the direction of the Emperors palace in Japan and yell "Banzai" several times. Nuff said.

By the way the * by 2008 in the title means that these are in no particular order coz you know who would kill me if this was number 1.

Trader Joes 2008 Vintage Ale

Brian, if you are still in Arizona, you must go any buy some of this stuff! I bought a bunch at the Trader Joes in Vegas, and wish I would have bought a whole case. It is amazing! Fantastic taste and clocks in at 9% ABV - a good time will be had by all.
