The hiring of the emos it not the problem, it is a side-effect. The hiring of emos is due to the substandard hiring requirements. The substandard hiring requirements are due to the subpar payrate. The subpar payrate is due to the the belief that trained monkeys can do this job. The belief that trained monkeys can do this job is due to the lack of vision in leadership. The lack of vision in the leadership is due to the misplacement of priorities. The misplacement of priorities can be traced to the following, each of which is connected to the other:

* Corporate greed
* Stockholder panic
* Bloated focus on pleasing wall street
* Executive stupidity (which leads to executives relying on even dumber mid-level executives whose only goal is to come up with IPPR bullet points)
* Fear being the motivator for decisions instead of reasoned, sound long-term judgment

And the list goes on

But what do I know, I'm just a poor shlub who can be lied to, manipulated, and kicked in the face by the very company I sold my soul to for the last 7 years.
