Pioneertown Motel
Pioneertown Motel
Pioneertown Motel MySpace
There is a four person maximum per room, and $10 charge per extra person over two.
So we, could go with two rooms for around $40 per person per night or one room for around $25 per person per night (that is if we pay the extra $10 per person and see if they have roll away beds or something).
As far as Vegas goes, Fridays are the most expensive day of the week to say. Rooms are usually around $35 to $45 for an okay place near the Strip, but on Friday, the cheapest I can find is around $100. We could say in a real dump for around $50 I am guessing.
What do you guys think?

Memoirs From the Maid Cafe
So while I was waiting inside the maid cafe to have my food brought to me, I decided to act scholarly and started to take notes. Maybe my ploy would get the attention of some unsuspecting maid hahaha (evil laugh). Here are the notes:
"So I'm finally here inside a Maid Cafe. I had almost lost hope of finding one. I found it by accident but man am I dead tired. Been on my feet for nearly 11 hours now. Time has flown by so fast. Akihabara is freakin' nuts. Been walking around and completely lost track of time. So immense and so many places to see. Wish I could take a photo here but they won't allow it but I am gonna take a photo with one of the maids here for $5. The prices here aren't as bad as I thought thtey would be. They have a little stage up front which im sure they are going to use for a little stageshow shortly. Man, my feet are killing me.
The maids are pretty cute especially this one who I may ask to take a photo with me (forget her name but she's the one you dudes saw who I took a photo with). They got the stage all decorated with some xmas lights and some other chintzy decorations against a black curtain. Woooey, they just got my cheesecake here and its the hottie maid who bought it. Damn, she looks hot in a maid outfit (proof, see picture). The place is slowly starting to fill up with businessman and tourists. This one dude sitting next to me looks exactly like the otaku from Densha Otoko.
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMSUGg5k2BHdA6cQsOxOCdClYdN6SbcOxzDdcVy61TiXJxNBJRI-tvepeTAKhB1b0DzgvaH8eH3WZAW3V6sb8Izs0bjB0Elr5jMgqOQPCE75VG2bzbUMpzOdmPvoOc8vwme2nZ6F6MAPY/s400/densha_otoko_2.jpg)
He's chummin' it up right now with some other taller businessman looking dude who was acting rather impatient waiting to get in earlier. Haha, I caught them ogling some of the maids as one of them was bending over. I think they are getting ready to do their lil stageshow real soon so I gotta get my photo done asap. Kinda embarressing to do since there are now tons of people inside here already. One of the maids earlier asked me my name for my order and I told her my name was Lehi and she said in broken English "I really like your name". She was nice enough to write my name in kanji on my notepad paper (sniffin the ink jk). When she bought me my ginger ale float she had me do a routine. They have you put your hands in a heart symbol (like the one in my photo) and say the words "Bon, Bon, Bon, Bon" while moving your hands from side to side and then say "Cueeeeeeee". With the cue, the heart goes towards whatever food it is they bought you. I thought I looked nerdy doing it, ya should have gotten a load of the businessman types doing it haha.
Man, this place symbolizes everything that I love about J-pop, the bubbliness, the moe and Japanese girls. They got the J-pop blaring, man this is nerd paradise! You can also play other games with the maids for a price of course, this one involving a plastic bulldog and some bones. I could sit here watching them play all day. yay! just got my photo taken with slayer shirt and all. I could choose what pose I wanted her and me to do and I went with the heart one. The other one was a cat paw pose and the peace sign. Some snotty american woman just asked for her money back...damn yankee.
Just did some flirting with the maid Yuko. I asked her for her real name when she was getting ready to take my photo but she said Yuko so I dunno if that is her real name or stage name. She's got the snaggleteeth look going and its kinda hot. She asked me afterwards what I was writing and I decided to embellish a bit and tell her I was working on my diary since I don't think she would understand the word blog. She then asked me where I was from and I told her America and she was all googly eyed. I told her Utah to be exact and she was "uhh...tornado there" (doing tornado like gestures with hands) and I said "that's Florida". We chatted a bit more and she asked me why I was writing and I told her so I wouldn't forget. I think completely lost her with that (in hindsight I should have used easier words). Man shes really cute, I should have asked to get a photo with her instead, definitely has more personality than the other hottie maid. I told her when I come back to Japan, I will come back here with a big cheesy grin on my face. She smiled back at me. Man, Japanese girls who speak piegon english are so freakin' hot."
At Home Maid Cafe is the place to rock!

Stuck on Tokyo Time
Tokyo |
Man, Im not sleepy at all and it's already 1am. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! (that one's for you Dave)
Believe it or not, Im possibly looking into going back to Japan in late June or late July for a weekend trip. Some dude on eBay right now is trying to get rid of his JAL roundfare tickets from LAX to Tokyo and right now the BIN is $495 and he is accepting Best Offers. Though there are some restrictions (ticket must be presented to the LAX JAL Office, additional taxes of $278) Im waiting to hear back from the dude while he contact the folks at the JAL office. If everything goes as planned, I'll be heading on back to the Land of the Rising Sun for dirrrrrrrrt cheap! The girl who sold me tix is staying in Tokyo for three months so I may ask her if I can crash there for the weekend. Why late June or July...there's a V-u-den concert final performance (HP Band)with the hottie herself Rika Ishikawa.
Wow, watching that video temporarily cleared my cloggy sinuses! Late July coz there's a Hello Project concert where every group from HP will be there performing. Ah decisions, decisions! Japan truly is the place to rock! (yelling banzai chant facing towards Japan). So here is a video i managed to smuggle out of the concert venue before the security dude told me to turn it off despite the fact the concert was already over. Happy Wota's whoopin' it up and then doing a Banzai chant haha...cough cough hak hak.

A Tragic Mix-up
![](http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_YgiuubgO8Mo/SDLu5b2_5bI/AAAAAAAAANE/Gl2ibD1XOws/s320/HelloLehi.jpg)
And in other news, Brian's vacation at the in-laws is just like his penis. Yep, even CW2 doesn't look as bad. At least after 8 hours of that you get to go home.
(Violin music here)
It's nice that I get 6 hours of PTO every two weeks so I can save up for a long vacation where I get to watch the mercury rise slowly for hours at a time. We were here for the first 100 degree temperature of the year. Whoo hoo.
Yeah, hopefully things will pick up. The kids are having fun, though. And I have school to keep me (cough) entertained. Too bad my teacher hasn't shown up for the 4the class.
We're switching to my parent's house on Friday. They have a pool.
(Man, I wish I was in Japan.)
Adieu, boys.

SAXON ROCKS JAPAN...
DAY 3 : PHOTO RECAP AKIHABARA
Yodibashi down there puts Best Buy, Circuit City and any other yankee electronics store combined to utter shame. It was mindblowing how big the place was and the selection was amazing! I had a chance afterwards to munch on some Tonkatsu afterwards in their foodcourt. Effin' delicious! Speaking of delicious, that is the only English word that the chick in the maid cafe photo knew. Yes she was.

Rudy is Ridin' Japan's Like a Seamonster
DAY 3: COUNTDOWN TO AKIHABARA
Speaking of Wota paradise, yesterday was the final concert of the morning musume 2008 spring tour right here in Shinjuku. I was worried that the girl who sold me the ticket would flake out on me leaving me extremely sad and pissed at the same time but alas it was not to be, she was there with her sister and I got my ticket! I finally was able to have a full fledged English conversation!
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNyI1EZhyphenhyphenYEhajyunTctLEWPe44-RJVLoH0-FXoskj7uDZkq7VlLGMvSb91kR50CdPgHqabC7vPYg5Bpq56Bg-A29LD9awSdysTFihL7xdR46uSypt3WDNNMpTsVHVAieU6k708h8VnrE/s400/Japan+011.jpg)
Dave I can hear you saying "Nawwww, that's not true mate" but Im being straight up. I swear on a Fosters and Shrimp on the barbie. She was really cool though and so was her sis. Her sis wasn't a Morning Musume fan but she was saying how amazed she was not only at the concert but at the wotas as well. In fact she spent a fair amount of time watching the wotas do their thing in the afternoon concert haha. It was time for the concert!
I got great seats up on the second level on row 5. Some of those had been selling for around $300. The only bad thing is that in the first 5 rows they didn't permit people to standup so I had to remain seated which was the hardest thing I ever had to do while watching Wotas get their daily workout. I swear that I sat with a bunch of nursing home folks. In my section, I felt guilty of even clapping loud which I did anyway. Some of these folks were just watching, yawning and one bastard was even sleeping! What made up for it though besides the effin awesome performance by MM was the two characters who sat to the left and right of me. There was an old granny wota'd up with the shirt of her fave MM member and glowsticks and boy could she dance...well as much as she could sitting down. I swear dudes it was a Wedding Singer Rapping Old Lady singer moment. The dude to the right of me was even more of a riot. He looked like a regular business coming in from after a hard days work and just sat down up right not even nodding his head to the beat when the concert began but once his favorite member came out that all changed. He had come prepared with a notepad with messages written in Japanese to his favorite member that he would hold up when they spoke on stage. He wouldn't even hold it up up in the air above his head though, he would do this all at knee level trying to be kinda coy about it. Then he would do a Mark David Chapman kind of wave from knee level too trying to get their attention. The music got the better of him and I even caught him sneakily trying to do some dancing hand gestures when he thought he was in the clear. God I love Japan.
Happy Wota after the concert! They're all color coded wearing the official shirt of their fave member.

Well dudes, time to don my Slayer shirt, sandals and jeans and get ready and Im off to Akihabara and hopefully find some Tonkatsu. Maid Cafes here I come!

Rudy is getting married!Goooooo-ooh!
cutie, Sayumi Michishige. Man oh man, where do I start? I've always thought she was cute on TV but seeing her in real life from the 8th row was a revelation dare I say First Visionesque..... (waiting for lightning bolt and Brother Josephs wrath). I could go on for hours on how hot she looked and...uhhh, err... never mind...yes I am seated.
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoDddkLfbd2qDvEVo44UD7oOiAFx68bhWI_iKMmM-R4N1PS-g0mJj1Gwpzfwm4YBrlO2dT6ks_kxzNJRHl13Z_XUNY_BoX491J77arW0Fzc93xqLQvcZ7AmCojJEpYCNxVGBzWOUZhJn4/s400/Sayumi_2008SpringTour_023.jpg)
What an effin fantastic day! Makes the entire trip worth it already and I haven't even hit Akihabara yet. First I hit the Shinjuku Book Off Store and scored bigtime with some you guessed it, Morning Musume booty. Got myself $100+ worth of books and dvd's for only $57! Funny thing is though that I kept on getting double and triple takes from the folks working there. I guess one of them made a comment about a gaijin checking out the photobook section and one of the busu gals looked over and I saw her and she quickly looked away. Haha
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbxWhI0NJRxwcAdGH5_ImZEEgRUFRodm0VBoj84zPKPzXEJFWGZcf3i7jRqaFXV2kt-7i12fIFxlm278CW3fMqlI7GAa27m1NojHbvcPF2EBaPlbewEqQJ1LA63jxO5Ckzk-_Kkm8u_ao/s400/Japan+005.jpg)
Then it was time for the defining moment of the trip! Morning Musume! After leaving Book Off happy as a clam I arrived at the venue. More Wotas than you can shake a stick at and talk about getting stared at. Happened multiple times but thank goodness no one said a word to me. I guess I fit in with all the Wotas with my tan messenger bag and quiet demeanor. Another thing about Wotas, they absolutely love plaid/checker patterned shirts. I swear nearly everyone of them was wearing one. I proudly wore my Pappy and Harriet shirt :-) The line to get in was freakin' unbearable and Im just talking about the line to buy the Hello Project goods. The line to actually get into the concert hall was helluva lot worse. I must have been standing for nearly 2 hours. Thank God for my Ipod. Another thing about Wotas, they are freakin' spendthrift when it comes to MM goods, these two people in front of me purchased $247 and $180 respectively while I only spent a paltry $79 (the two tshirts above and MM dvd). Finally they decided to let us in and man, was I in for a treat...
It was a Wota Paradise and I was a trainee. Guys started to take off their shirts and putting on the shirts with the name of their favorite MM member on them. Putting on Kamikaze headbands, breaking out the glowlights and even dudes with embroidered judo jackets. I wish I could have taken a photo but they wouldn't allow it. This portly dude who sat next to me came in with a Mohawk but within minutes he was transformed into a fanatic Risa Niigaki fan, Green shirt, Green glowsticks and a green headband. Next thing I know people start stretching like they were getting ready to run a marathon. It was then I knew that I was no match for these Wotas. The next two hours would be the most fun I've had for a while. Yelling, chanting, pumping fists in the air, oi oi oi and clapping yes even a few wotas did the fabled clap and rotate in a circle move. I swear this Wota in front of me knew the dance moves to every freakin' song. He put John Travolta to shame with his moves then you had these folks who jumped up and down continously like the freakin Energizer when their favorite member was either singing or speaking. I yelled out a few "Sayu's" when she sung. Did I mention how hot Sayumi Michishige looked? Damn, Eri and Risa too WARNING WARNING WOTA OVERLOAD WOTA OVERLOAD! It's really all about the music! cough cough cough...
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8P_8yM03qmdWxyqd72Vx58tOwsGhuN0_IcZpSG71oOpC67PPhMQbFPctGn8KczkPNHOa93M6DOMJLnocy7wEQHaiVXSPAhv070yeMycNx-c1exhWCQynB1g8LzZVaCGFqg9Ob_iqUwtw/s400/img20080426173103849.jpg)
Im gonna see if I take some piccies outside the venue before the final concert of the tour tomorrow night. Hope I can find that girl so she can give me the ticket so I can get in or Im gonna be pissed and out $140. Nothing I can't fix with a PP chargeback hehe
Well boys, Im debating if I should check out another Book Off just down the road or call it a night (it's only gonna be 8pm) but my back is sore as hell. Been on my feet practically all day!
GO JAZZ! uh wait....there's always next year R.i.p...Me thinks im gonna go downstairs to the bar here and get myself a Guiness. Hey if it's good enuff for Brother Joseph then you know what they say?

DAY 2 : T-MINUS 3 HOURS TO THE MORNING MUSUME CONCERT!
Right now Im inside some dodgy internet cafe and I seriously think the guy in the cubicle next to me is wacking off. I heard some zipping noises and hes randomly sighing. Just had my first Bob Magazine shop experience. Was walking to the concert and I saw a Video/DVD store in a back alley of some kind. I thought `oh sweet, maybe ill score some cheap dvds`. Soon as I get in the door I figure out its a porn store complete with pantie cards for sale, avidol signatures and a copious amount of porn dvds. Needless to say I left within the minute after catching an eyeful. (must go back later with a disguise on) ; )
Earlier today I decided to hoof it to try and find the venue for the concert and man it was tough, needless to say I got somewhat lost. I started to lose hope and as I was walking back I saw a man with an Aika Mitsui (MM Member) tshirt and much like Brother Brigham I smiled and said to myself `This is the place`. I interrupted a group of middle aged Wotas standing in line already!!! The concert doors don`t even open till 2:30 pm and it was only 9:30ish. In my broken Japanese I asked ` sumimasen, Morning Musume concert (pointed here)`, the middle aged portly wota turned around and said Hai. I thanked him and left bloody relieved.
Oh man that guy in the cubicle next to me is sighing a lot quicker now makes me wonder what else was done in this seat that im sitting on right now!
Well dudes, I gotta head on outta here. I hope I can get my damn internet connection working in my hotel room. Just downloaded some network drivers for my laptop that should do the trick. If not, I`ll have to revisit this shady place again. So many places to see and Im only in Shinjuku! Monday im gonna be heading down to Akihabara to rock n roll at the maid cafes and check out all the booty they have (anime/jpop booty that is).
Be giving a full report about the concert soon my brothers. Im all wota`d up and ready to GOOOOOOOOOO-OOOOOH! (bobbing up and down)
MOTHEREFFIN HELL YEAH! Im in EFFIN JAPAN!!!!
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrfNWW1gr5dXoVkfh3DGCGn4yB4p4H0pqlxZoK3p61v2teYsSmfsKcj-ypCs0fSRR4yqbEId-TeHhVP4MgzVoa57J5d8PLBQsEuU54xq78WDUAcQbVRrEcTT2iyOz4NkXkcku5JnR3rWk/s400/Japan+02.jpg)
First day, everything is going according to plan, now time to find out about them before they find out about me.....so dudes im finally here in Tokyo and its slowly kicking in that Im really in Japan. Right now im riding the luxurious Airport Limosine to my hotel in Shinjuku and here's hoping my Morning Musume concertticket is waiting for me once I check in at the hotel. Mothereffer! Im in Japan! The sun is starting to set and the it looks beautiful.
Brandon, you would have had fun on the plane ride from Seattle to Tokyo. Our section gotstuck with a domanitrix like, grumpy granny who was waiting on us. She asked some lady if she wanted some juice and when she said yes, the ol granny snapped back "you got juice already" and walked off. Then come breakfast time she walked around asking people if they want Omelet or Rice, when I said is this the Rice with Pork she angrily grabbed the menu and said it's whatever is on there and that she didn't have time to read it.
Man, NWA airlines is ghetto! Someone needs to teach them a lesson in providing for a better buyer experience coz you know recent surveys indicate that over 40% blah blah blah.
So far no luck on the J-cutie front, they sat me next to a Korean granny. There was a cuteasian gal sitting close by but on closer inspection looks like she was only 16,17'ish and youguys know that it ain't my bag. Once I got to the terminal outside though, plenty of J-Eye candy
So bloody tired right now, couldn't get any shuteye on the airplane. Some damn baby kept on crying and it was just really cramped despite the fact that I got an aisle seat. I'll see if I can snap some pix once i get to the hotel.
I don't think it's hit me yet that tomorrow im going to be dancing with my wota brethren on the first floor at the Momosu concert chanting, screaming and just whooping it up in general.
Gotta brush up on my moves and yells tonite. Whip the Tokyo Welfare Meeting Hall with a rubber hose and the wotas all roared like a juicy honey sea monster.
