So while I was waiting inside the maid cafe to have my food brought to me, I decided to act scholarly and started to take notes. Maybe my ploy would get the attention of some unsuspecting maid hahaha (evil laugh). Here are the notes:
"So I'm finally here inside a Maid Cafe. I had almost lost hope of finding one. I found it by accident but man am I dead tired. Been on my feet for nearly 11 hours now. Time has flown by so fast. Akihabara is freakin' nuts. Been walking around and completely lost track of time. So immense and so many places to see. Wish I could take a photo here but they won't allow it but I am gonna take a photo with one of the maids here for $5. The prices here aren't as bad as I thought thtey would be. They have a little stage up front which im sure they are going to use for a little stageshow shortly. Man, my feet are killing me.
The maids are pretty cute especially this one who I may ask to take a photo with me (forget her name but she's the one you dudes saw who I took a photo with). They got the stage all decorated with some xmas lights and some other chintzy decorations against a black curtain. Woooey, they just got my cheesecake here and its the hottie maid who bought it. Damn, she looks hot in a maid outfit (proof, see picture). The place is slowly starting to fill up with businessman and tourists. This one dude sitting next to me looks exactly like the otaku from Densha Otoko.

He's chummin' it up right now with some other taller businessman looking dude who was acting rather impatient waiting to get in earlier. Haha, I caught them ogling some of the maids as one of them was bending over. I think they are getting ready to do their lil stageshow real soon so I gotta get my photo done asap. Kinda embarressing to do since there are now tons of people inside here already. One of the maids earlier asked me my name for my order and I told her my name was Lehi and she said in broken English "I really like your name". She was nice enough to write my name in kanji on my notepad paper (sniffin the ink jk). When she bought me my ginger ale float she had me do a routine. They have you put your hands in a heart symbol (like the one in my photo) and say the words "Bon, Bon, Bon, Bon" while moving your hands from side to side and then say "Cueeeeeeee". With the cue, the heart goes towards whatever food it is they bought you. I thought I looked nerdy doing it, ya should have gotten a load of the businessman types doing it haha.
Man, this place symbolizes everything that I love about J-pop, the bubbliness, the moe and Japanese girls. They got the J-pop blaring, man this is nerd paradise! You can also play other games with the maids for a price of course, this one involving a plastic bulldog and some bones. I could sit here watching them play all day. yay! just got my photo taken with slayer shirt and all. I could choose what pose I wanted her and me to do and I went with the heart one. The other one was a cat paw pose and the peace sign. Some snotty american woman just asked for her money back...damn yankee.
Just did some flirting with the maid Yuko. I asked her for her real name when she was getting ready to take my photo but she said Yuko so I dunno if that is her real name or stage name. She's got the snaggleteeth look going and its kinda hot. She asked me afterwards what I was writing and I decided to embellish a bit and tell her I was working on my diary since I don't think she would understand the word blog. She then asked me where I was from and I told her America and she was all googly eyed. I told her Utah to be exact and she was "uhh...tornado there" (doing tornado like gestures with hands) and I said "that's Florida". We chatted a bit more and she asked me why I was writing and I told her so I wouldn't forget. I think completely lost her with that (in hindsight I should have used easier words). Man shes really cute, I should have asked to get a photo with her instead, definitely has more personality than the other hottie maid. I told her when I come back to Japan, I will come back here with a big cheesy grin on my face. She smiled back at me. Man, Japanese girls who speak piegon english are so freakin' hot."
At Home Maid Cafe is the place to rock!
